BILECO had made another historic leap in this year’s annual general membership assembly meeting held at the NSU Gymnasium on May 26 after hitting the 10% attendance mark.

A close second to the 2016 AGMA, this year’s gathering had drawn a total of 10.13% of its total members.

This year’s AGMA was anchored on the theme “Empowering MCOs, Improving Lives,” which underscored the importance of empowering its members through education, involvement and livelihood programs.

Its keynote speaker, NEA Deputy Administrator for Technical Services Artis Nikk L. Tortola, said that BILECO as an institution has evolved into a more service oriented and a well performing electric cooperative as evidenced by its recent Triple A category for its 2017 operations.

He urged the member-consumers to remain cognizant of its responsibilities and obligations, be agents of change and exercise strong support to the cooperative.

Tortola also administered the oath-taking of the new BOD of Caibiran, Jasper Aldrich Earl Maderazo.

BILECO had also showcased its resiliency during the onslaught of typhoon Urduja on December 2017 through a video presentation.

The assembly had approved new resolutions such as adding one more BOD qualification, collection of 10 Pesos MCO membership fee, allocation of fund for MCO livelihood program and the economic provisions of CBA.
